Summary:
The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for daily customer care through communication with internal and external customers and order processing.
The Customer Service Specialist is a true advocate for the company and a bridge between the customer and internal teams.
The Customer Service Specialist is expected to have a proactive mindset, always finding ways to help the customer and anticipate the customer's needs.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and communication are essential.
Duties/
Responsibilities:
Conduct ongoing customer and non-customer research in order to understand their unmet needs and anticipate their demands thoroughly.
Create client sample orders, sales proposals, and sales orders Work closely with the sales and purchasing teams to avoid aging orders and cancelations Effectively manage any order changes and revisions Execute delivery follow-up communication and post-sales calls to ensure customer satisfaction Professionally communicate with customers via telephone or email about questions or issues with their orders Collaborate with all departments to ensure our product continuously delivers value to our customers Analyze customer usage data to create a data-informed perspective on user needs Continuously remain customer-inspired in all that you do while balancing the needs of the customer and the business.
Manage customer samples from trials to final product.
Maintain customer-approved sample boards and update them as needed.
Assist with purchasing the raw material/tooling/embossing of all new products.
Other duties assigned by manager.
Required Skills/Abilities:
History of figuring out solutions to hard problems with many constraints, using sound judgment to assess risks, and laying out your argument in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative Proven ability to engage with company leaders in a constructive and collaborative relationship Comfortable holding discussions with existing and potential customers Customer-inspired and deep empathy for customers and users Project Management Skills such as focus, creativity, and timely with tasks' start-completion process Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience 1-2 years of experience as a Product Owner/Manager or 5 years of customer service experience in the flooring industry.
Work Content:
Physical Demands - Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer; frequently reach with hands and arms; regularly use hands to feel and Talk or hear.
Lifts Weight or Exerts Force Work Environment - The employee will occasionally lift a maximum of 30-40 pounds.
Visions - Specific vision abilities this job requires include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment - The employee will occasionally work near moving mechanical parts, with a risk of electrical shock--the ability to operate equipment and forklifts.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
