  • Sets guides (4) on feed tables of beveling equipment to allow for precise beveling of supplied swatches.

  • Feeds carpet swatches onto machine feed table. Process is repeated for each color within color line.

  • Performs manual turning of swatches after first two sides of swatch are beveled and feeds onto feed table to make final side bevels. This process is not necessary on equipment with automatic turning apparatus.

  • Brings first few beveled swatches to Swatch Bevel Coordinator for approval.

  • Swatches are packed into swatch boxes after beveling

  • Signs Cut Ticket with Beveler number to allow for accrual of production time.

  • Follows established quality and safety standards.

  • Perform general maintenance on equipment.

  • Perform all machine safety checks.

  • Ability to view and discern similar colors and be able to determine pile direction of swatches.

  • Performs cleanup of area at end of shift.

  • Other duties as requested by management


  • High school diploma or GED equivalency required.

  • Successful completion of on the job training programs.

  • Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.

  • Reads and writes in standard English and proficient performing basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction

  • Must be an effective team member.

  • Good oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with others in the immediate work unit and in related support areas.

  • Ability to view and discern similar colors and be able to determine pile direction of swatches

  • Ability to follow simple verbal and written instructions.

  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.

  • Working conditions include hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and noise.

  • Requires standing more than 2/3 of time.

  • Requires regular lifting up to 25 pound

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
